Holz Chevrolet, Hales Corners: Above and Beyond

Obviously, being that I am on a business trip 400 miles from home, I am stranded with the company truck on the fritz. Holz was aware of that. We did not buy the truck there, but they have gone above and beyond, and I only find it worth noting since customer service is just not something you run across all too often these days. Can I give a shout to my service manager who assisted me, Chris Martin? Because he's worth a shout out. By the way, Heiser in West Allis? You suck. Just saying. You did not do anything for me. I talked to Chris on Tuesday night and he got me set up for an appointment to get the truck in on Wednesday morning. Done. I got the truck in Wednesday morning, and he asked if I needed a ride. "I am working," I told him. "I need something to drive." He gave me a 2023 blue Chevy Silverado, and it looks like they did not charge me for it (I won't know until we get the final bill, but the paperwork says zero). He said they were short handed with only two diesel technicians but he would do the best he could. He called me at around 1130am to let me know it still had not been looked at but he would keep me posted. Who does that? Normally YOU have to call to ask what's up. So, thank you. I did call Chris at around 330 or so just to check in as I of course have to make arrangements and check in with the boss as to what to do next. He called me around 530pm and told me what needed to be done and told me the cost. So, they did manage to get it looked at. Bravo Zulu! (A navy term) $4,050 worth of work. Yikes. But it needs to be done. The plan was to pick the truck up in the morning and limp home and take it to our local dealership. But now the plan is to have the work done by Holz and I will stay in town an additional night. The bottom line is that I think Holz earned the business. Chris Martin earned the business. I was very impressed with the treatment, the customer service, the attentiveness, the attention to detail, and the above board way they handled the situation. I give Holz in Hales Corners Wisconsin 5-stars, and Chris Martin needs a raise. THANK YOU!

Always good to receive satisfactory customer service. Makes all the difference in the world. And the thing is, they could all be like this. Glad your experience was a good one. I hope you can put a good review on the company site for them.

I mean, as much social media as goes on, word gets around much faster these days and more eyes get to see it. Even from a site like this which could show up in a search which is why I included the dealership's name in the title.

Wow! That's a rarity. That's the way it used to be when I was growing up. $4,050? Yikes is right. I'm glad you were treated so well and got the problem solved quickly. Drive safely!

The only consolation is that the bill does not come out of my pocket. But yeah, it was hefty. Now it looks like I will be dealing with about 6 inches of sn*w on the ground. Oh well, just to make the whole trip a complete disaster. lol

Broken down vehicles are no fun, but a service company that actually provides good service earned the business. Good of you to shout them out.

It is such a rarity these days you almost feel a stronger importance to call them out—for whatever it is worth.

I am hoping, too, that there will be an opportunity to say "thank you" beyond this post and my personal iterations.

That is such a good story to hear. Just a bit of a shame that's it's so rare that a company will keep you up to date without you having to chase them. I'm glad the truck is getting repaired there. As you say, they earned the business.

I would have to say that in this particular case, yes. Very much so. They really took care of me.
