nearly cause a house burn

While mom was making breakfast, she had to take a leak and then took a phone call and forgot all about it.
She was cooking sweet potatoes in the frying pan, she should have boiled it to somewhere else bigger. sadly, the water evaporated and smoke was all over. My aunt saw it and removed the smoke with all the fans.
Anyways, I have watch every one elses cooking from now on, including my own. I usually burn out some rice, but not often.

Yes that happens from time to time. That's why I always set an alarm clock when I cook rice. We don't use rice cooker at home.
