Just now I noticed that today the e-dictionary is still available and its price is even as high as a smartphone. What a surprise! At first I thought the e-digitionary was already eliminated because there was no more features of it and it was expensive. A simple smartphone can easily replace it. There are more dicitionary apps for smartphones and they are very helpful. Probably the e-dictionary shall be eliminated because it is already out of date.

Yes, you are right. It can work offline. But today if you download the dictionary from an app, then it can also work from a phone offline.

Sets of encyclopedias went out the door years ago yet some families went into debt to buy these for their children.

An e-book reader. I just don't see its unique value.

Yes, I also think so. The only one advantage of the e-book reader, like Kindle, it can run for a long time and you don't need to charge it often. Besides, it is black and white and it seems it is good for your eyesight.

wow I thought those would be eliminated too. But film cameras and records were a thing of the past coming back.

I think a book dictionary is still better than the e-dictionary.

I have never used and e-dictionary but I guess it could help a lot. But yes, your smartphone can do almost anything.

I do not think that e-dictionary should be removed. For the reason that some non-native speakers need them to improve the English language. I doubt if they can cope up without it.
