Question: Is it important to snap pictures while you're traveling?

I adore shooting pictures, so I can't help but post them on my blog. Before the epidemic, I had planned to go to places in my country I had never seen and take pictures along the way. However, for the time being, this plan has been put on hold because I have to take care of certain things first. Do you have a similar interest of this nature? Image Credit: hips.hearstapps.com

I love to take pictures because those become memories when you look back at them years after your travel.

I agree with you. I got this passion with one of my grannies. I am so fascinated whenever she puts the old and new photos in photo albums. Now, I usually save them to my external drive. Although I wanted to put them in albums in the future.

@Shavkat - I save all my photos on an external Hard Disk and also on the internal Hard Disk of my computer. I print some to be sure I am not going to lose them.

I rarely do it, because I don't like playing with my cellphone outside the room, I'm more focused on enjoying the beauty that exists during the holidays.

We have a friend who doesn't take photos on holidays as she prefers to 'live in the moment'. I find that photos help me remember places and things we've done.

I have some friends like her. For me, I am quite sentimental and wanted to capture the happy moments with the family or friends. Selfies is a debatable idea sometimes for me.

Even if I am alone traveling, doing selfies should still be pushed through. I did this when I was having my medical mission in Tajikistan. I still have those photos and look at them sometimes.

It's not necessary. But I like to take pictures to keep them in my memories. There are certain things which we might have seen for the first time and with the help of the picture we may be able to show others that we have visited such places.

Yes definitely! It is a must now to take photos when traveling, not just for social media purposes but for the wonderful memories that has been experienced. I love taking photos a lot. It has been my passion since 2017 and my phone gallery is shouting for now because it's almost full! I need to backup:)

I understand where it is coming from. Some people are like you. They prefer to capture the moments instantly and no need to capture them through taking photos.
