Thanks to the efforts of the Lexington Police Department who answered an emergency call from an owner of a male capuchin monkey named Max who went missing on Tuesday after the owner of the monkey was traveling on Interstate 75 near Lexington when an auto collision caused Max to flee the scene of the accident. Two days later a road crew that was working in the area of the accident saw Max on the side of the road. The road crew members called the Lexington Police who picked up Max who with the assistance of the Lexington Fayette Animal Care and Control were able to contact the owners of the monkey who were able to reunite with their pet around two days. A happy ending to this story at last. Link is upi.com/2911677265482 via @upi

That poor monkey would have been pretty traumatized, being in a car accident.

That is true since monkeys can get scared when an auto accident does happen.

How the monkey can get away? The owner put Max in the cage right?

I do not think that the owner of Max had the monkey inside of a cage or if Max was inside of a cage, he must have escaped due to the cage getting busted open from the collision.

I am glad Max was found and reunited with his owner before he found out what a real jungle this world actually is,

Maybe the monkey thought the place was its home once before adopted by humans.
