Killing two birds with one stone here. We managed to make a fairly frugal dinner. We went to snack guy today, and scored with the Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls in the pop can for a dollar. So I made a can of those. $1 With it, I made scrambled eggs with cheese. I used salt, pepper, and milk in them as well so I'm going to say that cost about $1 I also made a pack of bacon which I got from Dollar Tree tonight on our run that was $1.25 And before you knock it, we've been eating Farmer John bacon for years and never had issues with it. $3.25 for dinner for three people, is a win by my standards. That breaks down to $1.09 or so per person. I'd be surprised if you did better with your dinner. LOL. I managed to take a picture tonight! LOL. What did you have for dinner tonight?

That's a good deal for dinner, very inexpensive. I win, I didn't have dinner so that costs zero lol

No vegies? I had a weird supper. Life at my house is weird at this point when it comes to food. I ate about a quarter of a Wendy's Caesar salad. Love the shaved Parmesan cheese in that salad. I then put about 2 teaspoons of white flour in a couple tablespoons almond milk, put a little olive oil in a skillet that had leftover scrambled egg and a bit of burger- I mean a bit. That made gravy. I poured that gravy over a piece of rye bread and called it my supper. So between it all I probably got in four hundred calories. Just eating the green salad was not enough to fill me.

I often look at cost per serve. Sometimes we can buy a decent-size roast but end up getting several hot meals as well as cold meat sandwiches for lunch. So the cost per serve is sometimes surprisingly low.
