We are unique individuals, having different backgrounds and environments. So, I know that our concepts of happiness may differ. However, I want to find the common denominator in each of us. What is TRUE happiness for you?

I don't think any of us know the answer. We might think something would make us happy but it might not.

True happiness for me nothing because I don't think anyone can have true happiness. You're never going to know what true Happiness is because happiness is the feeling of being happy, excited, joy, excitement or exhilaration and we experience them in different way and in different degrees. I'm sure there are moments where we each feel happiness that we feel cannot be topped but it probably can. emotions are weird that way.

Indeed. emotions are weird. The mental state of a person determines his behavior. I believe that happiness is a state of the mind and does not stem from something external. Of course, external factors are vital too, but the most important thing in achieving happiness is the person's mind.

@Jenaisle its not a state of mine if you try to think yourself in to happiness it doesn't work because that isn't how emotions work. emotions are trigger by our chemicals in our brains to make us feel thoughts emotions when its need. Its not something we can control by thought or wishfully thinnking. If that was true people that are bipolar or other disorders that are controled by the chemicals in our brain wouldn't have those problem they would just think happy thoughts and me happy. Seeing as that is a chemical thing control by ones brain and it doesn't care what if you want to be happy or sad it just happnes.

It is not how much one has but what one makes of what one has is the route to happiness.

True happiness is when you have a good life and you enjoy your life every day. Anyway that is what it is to me.

I don't think happiness is defined as one specific goal; it is a by-product of the life you lead. Many things can make for happiness at the moment, but one must be happy with themselves to find contentment. Otherwise, those momentary happy feelings are just fleeting, not. permanent.

Your point is well taken, and I agree with you. to be happy you have to find contentment. and we could not appreciate happiness if we haven't experience sadness.

True happiness for me is to be able to retain my mental health despite of what's going on in life.

When you have all your family and friends around and no need to worry about what to eat because you have enough food, also you are healthy and can do anything that you can like, but that is just me

I wonder if true happiness exists. You may have happy moments that never last a long time. Happiness is when you have a good life, you are content of what you have and you do not ask for more.

@Jenaisle Yes, are you happy with your life? I am to some extent but at times used to feel lonely. Kittu has wiped that by keeping me busy.
