Wednesday Evening Appointments

It’s been a week of appointments, with the last one today. The dermatologist was Monday, and he took three superficial moles off. (He takes three off every time I see him, so I’m thinking that’s how many insurance will let him take off.) I had a nasty sunburn when I was stationed in Hawaii, so it’s very important for me to get checked.
Tuesday was the car’s appointment! The ol’ 60,000 mile check-up. Oil change, tire rotation, balance, and alignment, and filter replacement. That was less than $300, and I’m good to go! (And you know me…go I shall!
)
Today was the check-up with my primary care doctor. She seems to think my stomach problem was food poisoning. Very possible. You never know with that stuff. You tend to want to “blame” what you ate last, but it could have been something you ate a day or two ago. She gave me a Cologard package to test for anything suspicious. (Hopefully, with all their commercials, you know what Cologard is…and if you don’t, I’m not going to explain for fear that you might be eating.
) No new meds.
And she said my bloodwork was beautiful!
Today was a lovely day. We, as one local weatherman said, “shredded” the old record high of 77F by hitting 82! That’s a lovely June day…except it’s March 1. I wore shorts, and they had the patio open at Chuy’s today!!!! We’re going to pay for it. The weatherman pointed out in a vlog a few days ago that the last time we had so many record highs and “top five warmest” January or February months on average was 1996…when we ended up with over a foot of snow in March.
Hey, if they say the S word I’ll beat feet to warmer climates. One thing I’d love to do is visit so em of the places associated with Bonnie and Clyde, including the place where their criminal career and their lives ended, which is near Monroe, Louisiana. I have dear friends not too far from there (near Alexandria), and one of my oldest and dearest friends lives in Dallas.
Or, I just might stay home and drink hot chocolate if it sn*ws.
You never know with me.
Y’all have a great evening!

Maybe she’s a vampire, which is why she liked my blood so much.

@FourWalls Do you have to go back next week? That would be an indicator.

@FourWalls Sure sounds a lot like it. And around 300 for all that work, that feels like a bargain.

Thank you. After 60 (or 60,000 miles for the car) it’s great to have uneventful appointments!

Sounds like you've been busy. We got snow and then more snow so enough for everyone.
I like the turtle pic. We don't have them here.

I didn’t make it to Idaho on my trip out west in 2021, but I saw all the cute prairie dogs in the Dakotas. I think they’re cuter than turtles.

The cardiologist told me I had a 40-year-old’s heart…now I have another 40-year-old mad at me because I have their blood!

@FourWalls so you can expect to have a really big bash on your 100 birthday. What will you be doing for all those years before that event happens? Just asking because sometimes I think I could live to 100 because of how I feel and no illnesses but then I ask myself what are your plans for all those years?

We had record high wind gust (79 MPH) and a record low pressure. Worse than Ike is what everyone is saying on social media. I’m without power but no problem. Lou said she has roof damage.

Thanks for the update. I think we could pay for this weather in March too. I hope not; but you never know. When you head south, take me too please!!! Love the pic. The Cologuard is a bit of a pain; but it's soooo much better than having a colonoscopy. I get really sick from the prep.

The prep is a pain because you can’t have anything with red food coloring, which eliminates all of the best flavors of jello and popsicles!

I saw another turtle at Honeymoon Island State Park. It was walking along the road, so rangers had the lane shut down to let the turtle do whatever it wanted to do.

Ii didn’t get any closer than what the boat took us. I don’t trust reptiles.

Well done, I fear reptiles, I do not even appreciate to get too close to the small garden lizards.

They’re talking about a pattern flip, and they have been for a couple of weeks.

Feast or famine, isn’t it! Buffalo NY has been buried twice, and I think we’ve had all of five inches all winter long!

@FourWalls I know, and I am about two and a half hours east of Buffalo. We have maybe had 12 to 15 inches total all winter, yet should have had three or more feet by now.

The boat didn’t get close enough for us to give him any.
