Sirhan Sirhan Shot Bobby Kennedy in 1968

Sirhan has been in prison since 1969 and has been denied parole maybe17 times now. He is 78. I have zero sympathy for this assassin, this murderer. I still doubt that we know the whole story about why he did it. I believe he changed the direction of this country by killing Bobby Kennedy. I was watching Kennedy speak from a Los Angeles hotel on TV, saw him shot. That made it possible for Nixon to be elected. He's the one who dodged being thrown out by resigning. "I am not a crook," he said. Sirhan Sirhan does not deserve to ever be released from prison.

I remember seeing all that too. No, he doesn't deserve to be released. Nixon was one of those that thought he was something special. Like putz does now.

I hate to think that, but it goes all the way back to JFK's assassination in 1963.

I do believe in redemption, and I am not sure what Sirhan has done with his time in prison, i ngeneral though you do the crime, you should do the time.

There can be no redemption for an assassin as far as I see.

Who can forget those days A lot was being discussed on the Kennedys I do not think anyone gets parole for this kind of crime.

@JamesHxstatic I think he is better off in the prison. Who will care for him if he is let out?

Sometimes if a murderer is old & sick they let him/her out.

It’s funny…people like him and John Lennon’s murderer aren’t even considered for parole. They’re given the formality of a hearing, but we all know the outcome. And someone who kills the Bobby Kennedy or John Lennon of someone’s family gets out of prison just because that family “superstar” wasn’t a celebrity.

That's a good point, but I do wonder how many convicted of premeditated murder get out?

I was wondering why someone should kill Kennedys, and Martin Luther King, when they had so many followers and years ahead of them. Yes, the assassins changed the course of history.

He should never be released from prison, although if he should be at this late date, I doubt he has anymore life left in him after all these years in prison.

Are there theories as to why this assassination occurred? It gets less press than his brother's assassination.
