Urinating on fellow passengers in Airlines? Is it a trend Indians want to start?

To be drunk is no excuse. If you cannot hold that drink, you'd better not. It is ...something that will make people fear sitting besides an Indian. What is wrong? Makes me feel ashamed that it was an Indian student. What should India do? If I could, I would take away his citizenship. Ban him from taking up employment in India. Penalize his parents for not having inculcated right values. But ..even airlines have to think of this growing behavior. What can they do? Have passengers psychologically assessed while waiting to board? That could be one thing they could consider...secondly restrict alcoholic beverage consumption on flight. Or do we all have to buy a new insurance product.....damages for being peed inside a flight. Whatever...there is a new problem, and it requires new solutions...because it is not going to stop there..

Just because one Indian does it doesn't mean that everyone will start looking sideways at Indian passengers. But it is very bad that it's happening.

@JudyEv Most Indians behave nicely. Those that behave like this are not favored even by their own family folks, friends or relatives. But such incidents defame Indians and the Indian haters elsewhere get a chance to say "Hey, didn't we say that Indians are so and so.....". And it applies to all nationalities but well, some incidents disorient our thinking!

To generalize is in animal nature. While nobody really wants to do that logically, the nature that god gives to differentiate between what is edible and what is not, what is dangerous and what is not.........gets extended in other spheres. So yeah, there will be concerns, even if mild, after this episode.

They should not serve drinks on airplanes. That was gross of him to have done that.

@jstory07 Or serve within limits and take strict action against those insisting on more drinks.

If he behaves that poorly on an airlines he probably is pretty gross other times as well. I would have clobbered him with something if he tried to pee on me.

I agree...and it is ridiculous that he chose to be so ill behaved as a grown up. Usually, people are too surprised to think when such things happen. So it is unlikely you would be mentally prepared for clobbering him. LOL.

Legal question...how do you sue somebody on flight...he is on no man's land...or no man's sky...which court...jurisdiction? And can you sue a foreign citizen?

I think that this guy was just a jerk who does not care about other people, their feelings, or their rights to enjoy traveling in a safe and decent environment. He probably is a problem for this family too.

I am sure he is...usually, people are too afraid to be honest and correct a family member when he or she is wrong. There is hesitation expecting noisy outburst and whatever nasty that might follow. This encourages such behavior I suppose.

@vandana7 I would rebuke any family member who does such things in public. It is beyond disgusting.

@vandana7 I think that women and girls are not valued in India. I don't know how they can ignore such vile crimes and pretend that the antagonizer did not do anything wrong. They get away with it because they are male. This has to change.

That's pretty gross, but I find what people do sober more disturbing. Stop that and maybe people would not want to drink so much at least half and that is half the battle. That's also a easy fix just stop serving drinks and you can usually tell if they to drunk to board.

You have a point crossbones...people who are sober need to be fair.

You agree? Some people need to be punished. I would make every man there pee on the guy. To let him know how it feels.

If anyone in the country l live did that to another passenger or passengers, there would be a big , big fight on that plane.

Can we afford to fight on plane? I mean, it is after all, aluminum structure... deliberately kept light for enabling flight.
