Good morning, friends.

I am slowly doing what I should in my life. I paid for my cell phone. I could not pay it yesterday because it said that I owed nothing and today I had to pay more for the concept of interests. I can´t understand that but I will have to learn to pay it in a different way. It is not much, but all adds up. I walked back and forth through my house with the alarm clock set so that I could walk the 5 minutes. I was amazed at how little it took to sound so I decided to do it 3 times in the day. I called one of the women I most love who helped me when I was very young and who lost her husband 3 months ago. I have talked to her but I have not seen her so she is going to visit me soon. Last but nos least I downloaded (free) a book I read many years ago, a novel about the life of the first Empress of Sweden at the time of Napoleon I. It is called Desiree (by Annemarie Selinko). It is very interesting and it has the mixture of history and fiction that I love. So I´m ready to do several things today. Yesterday I cooked some rice and today I will make a pork casserole to go with it. What are you planning for today?

You are having an interesting day. I went out this morning to pick up a test at the doctor's office. It rained a bit in the morning, I started seeding some vegetables that I keep inside for the moment, until the temperature is warmer.

I´m still in no shape to garden. I´ll see if I can get a gardener to help me out. People do not want to work much here. They discovered with the pandemia that the government could pay for their luxuries

@LadyDuck I know. I remember that when I was young, my husband worked building houses and had workers I knew. When they happened to come to my house at lunch they brought their lunch pots and I offered to heat them. I was shocked at what they ate. They´d bring pasta and a can of tomato paste was poured over it. I thought that it took so little work to mix it with diced caramelized onions, some crushed garlic and a bay leaf. There were thousand inexpensive ways of making it better tasting. But their wives prefered to watch all the soap operas and worked as little as possible. Once Leticia told me that one of my husband´s workers told her that he prided himself that his wife did nothing while I "had" to work.

@marguicha - People are lazy, they prefer to do nothing and have only a minimum money than to work.

All that this morning? At least you have some good things planned for the day, despite the cell phone problem. I rode my bike today, threw in a load of laundry, paid a couple of bills, and gave the condo a quick clean. Just showered and am planning on doing nothing for the rest of the day. Hubs decided to make my life easier, so will cook tonight.

I have walked twice already and now I pampered myself with a piece of chocolate cake for lunch. I´m glad that your husband is helping you so much.

@DianneN I am not as happy with fresh tuna as I am with salmon unless it is raw in sashimi.

I spent quite some time today trying to find the name of a book I read years ago. I wish I had kept track of the books I read when I was reading. Oh, well.

Good Morning. You have your day all set. That is good. I have not decided what to cook as yet. I don't like reading very long novels I would prefer to watch the movie format. You can tell us above the fun parts of the novel as you read it.

Today I have a full fridge my groceries came yesterday and I am writing up a storm online. I treated myself to chocolate covered Bavarian cream filled Berliners and what I do is cut one in half and place a couple of scoops of cookies and cream ice cream in between the halves, It tastes real good when I take a break, I hope you have a great new week,

@marguicha during my teen years my mom learned to make Bavarian cream and she would make it for me since I loved it so much so this pastry brings back memories, I never learned to make it,

I would be very frustrated with that cell phone bill. Your plans for the day sounds nice and the visit from your old friend sounds fun for the future.

It was a little over $1 in interest, but still. I pay what I owe but don´t like to pay more.

I walked for some time today too. Now I´m going to cut the meat I cooked yesterday with the electric knife and I will place it in batches in tupperware.
