Skunk pretty but obnoxious smelling

Skunks are not seen around here and I am not sure if they are seen anywhere in our country as well.
As you can see they are good looking coming in shades of white, black, ginger and brown The most common are black and white
Not sure when or on whom they decide to spray that obnoxious smelling liquid. It is reported that they have enough stock for around 6 sprays. They then have to wait for a couple of weeks to get a fresh stock. It is their defense mechanism.
Have you seen a skunk or have been the privileged one to have a spray on you?

@allknowing According to what I read and documentaries I have watched:
"Stamping front feet, a raised tail, hissing, short forward charges and twisting their hind end around in your direction."

They can be very cute. I know the warning signs so have not been sprayed. But many dogs over the years have been locked outside for a few days while getting many baths

@allknowing Anna listed them good. The final is the one you don't want to see. Its the butt with a fully raised tail

Aren’t they adorable! Once as a teen my friend and I saw one under a pile of railroad ties. We wanted to play with it because it was so cute and we were sure it being so little it couldn’t spray. We never got ahold of it but it would do this run at us and back up thing it was the cutest darn thing ever. We didn’t even know we had been sprayed until a few people we ran into mentioned we smelled like skunk

A skunk did his horrible smell on my sons pant leg when he was standing out smoking one dark night
