A flat battery - but not in the car

We went to a motor museum today. There were two big warehouse-sized buildings full of all sorts of cars, motor-bikes, models and memorabilia. I was very keen to take some photos to show you all. Would you believe it? I turned the camera on and it said ‘flat battery’ and folded itself away. I was so annoyed. It was really stupid of me. Luckily, Vince had his camera and he was SO good about taking photos of anything I wanted. But it’s not quite the same. He is processing the photos now so I’ll have some to show you soon. We were there from 10am to 4pm and took a picnic lunch. Vince’s brother and his grandson were with us. They are both really interested in the old cars but the young lad is particularly knowledgeable and he had a great time. The photo is mine from a museum in Wubin, Western Australia. The car is a Buick but I don’t know the year.

Back in those days, they really took care of their vehicles...I saw one like this on our roads...yeah...road...some rich guy owned it...it read on the rear... a vintage car is like another man's wife, you may appreciate her beauty, yearn for her, but not touch her.

That's a very good sign to have - either on your car or on your wife!!

@JudyEv I would not put it on wife........kinda...the script size would force the reader to come closer and bend on knees to read the rest on the rear...definitely blows would start.

I use my phone so rarely I hardly ever have it with me. But it's a good idea and I might start doing that.

I hate when this happens, I still remember an incredible photo I missed because of a flat battery.

Vince has occasionally taken some great shots, only to find that he doesn't have the chip in it.

Oh how frustrating! Don't things like this make you miss the old mechanical devices? Glad you had a good day out anyway.

I’ve done the same but thankfully have a cell phone camera as back up however it doesn’t take as good a photos as a digital camera does.

@Ronrybs There is a limit to how many bits and pieces you can carry in case of emergencies. You can't cover all scenarios.

I'll get them up gradually but I have to write enough about each one too. I could do a collage but then you can't see so much detail.
