Many people do not like water. It's plain and very simple. Even though it is a needed element to keep our bodies from becoming dehydrated. Many people just don't care for water. What can you do to help water taste better? Filtering it helps but the major way to change the flavor is to find some herbs(lavender or mint), vegetable slices(celery, ginger, or cucumber), or fruit(lemon, lime, strawberries, or grapefruit). The trick is to find ones you like to fuse with water and make them taste better for your consumption. Here are some other ways to help you get the water you need each day:
* Drink a few sips before each meal. It will help fill you up and help you drink more each day.
* Drink some water each time you go to the bathroom. The more you drink the more you will need to go to the bathroom. This will help to flush and clean your system.
* A free app such as Daily Water or Daily Water Free can help you keep track of how much water you've finished each day. They can be downloaded to your phone and then set alarms and daily reminders.
* Leave a gallon jug near you through out the day, Having this near you will help to remind you to drink.
* Get a filter. Filtered water tastes better. Depending on where you live the filter can help with the quality of the water you will be drinking. You can also get one for the kitchen sink.
* Mineral or sparkling water is a better choice than soda.
* Eat your H20. Add vegetables or fruit with a high water content to your grocery list. Such recipes as Cucumber salad or Salmon salad with grapefruit can add water to your daily diet.
* Use a marked bottle and each time you empty it fill it right back up.
FYI--A woman should drink atleast 91 ounces each day. A man should drink 125 ounces each day. So if women can dink 11-12 8-ounce glasses each day and men between 15-16 they will have drank the needed daily amount.

That's a lot of water to drink, I wouldn't say that is true for everyone. My grandmother was told to only drink 50 oz or so. I know I need to do better cause I drink none most days....going to try to drink 2 bottles of water that I have (it's 32 oz). I haven't been able to finish it once yet though

I used to drink lemon water.
Nowadays, I have two large jugs of water that I finish per day.

I am real bad about drinking water. But, I found Cirkul. It's a water bottle with a flavoring system. And, unlike flavored water, you can decide how much flavor you get by setting a dial between 0 to 9. I keep it around 4-5. And, it doesn't feel like you're being hit over the head.

And the flavoring is natural, not sugary?

@celticeagle All natural. No carbs or anything. It doesn't even spike my blood sugar.

You need to be careful about your water consumption. As good as it is for you and as much as we need it, you can drink too much. I did that once and flushed all the sodium from my body. The doctor told me not to drink more than three 16-oz. bottles of water per day.
Those are good suggestions. I like mine plain or as tea.

I usually don't drink that amount but It helps in my elimination so I do have quite a bit. I have heard about the flushing out of sodium.

@RubyHawk .........Coffee is just the opposite of water. It actually doesn't hydrate you at all.

I drink two coffees then two or three waters the rest of the day after that. The cups don’t have measurements on them so I should use a measuring cup to see how many ounces it is to know how much I’m getting a day. I’m thinking about 48 at the minimum.

I drink a lot of water. That is due to the fact I sweat a lot and lose water in the summer

I never drink enough water. We have a refrigerator with filtered water; but my hubs hasn't changed the filter in years.
