The doctor wants a colonoscopy to begin with.

I went to see a docotr for my belly problems. He was not vey interested in my IBS but as I took several results of colonoscopys I have had along the years, he did not like the polyps that appeared all the time. He asked me if anyone of my family had had colon cancer and I said no. But he wants another colonoscopy. He wants me to go first to a General Doctor to check my heart and other parts. It seems that he found me old As there is no way I can ask for a colonoscopy via phone or mail (only a machine will answer) I´ll ask for an appointment with a general doctor in the same hospital where I have to have the colonoscopy. And that happens to be near a big farmer´s market so I might even buy fish, seafood and some fruits. Now I´ll watch TV a bit while I rest. See you later

I had one colonoscopy and don't ever want another one. I had to poop in a box a few months ago and send that in rather than have another colonoscopy. Talk with you later.

I have had over 4 colonoscopies in my life along the yeras due to polyps. They have to be checked because some can become cancerous.

@DaddyEvil I hate the exam though. I´d prefer surgery.

I'm sorry. Colonoscopies are very stressful and invasive, in my opinion. But if you have polyps, they will need to remove them. I always think the prep is the worst part. Ugh.

@marguicha While I am thankful for doctors and modern medicine, some things still need to be improved upon.

I hope you can have an appointment soon for that colonoscopy. Maybe they need to remove the polyps

If I have them, they removed them and send them for biopsy.

My hubby gets polyps too. I'm glad you are getting a colonoscopy. I hate the prep beforehand.

Is it painful? Can you eat fruits if you have IBS? I have IBS too.
