Thursday evening in March

The photo should show the last of daylight over my two sheds. Its been a cloudy and sometimes rainy day for me. Hubby found the energy to go grocery shopping with me. We took Rufus along but he only got to help me walk the grocery cart back to the cart rack. The weather was pretty chilly and the rain decided to pour at that moment. It felt good to have hubby along. He packed groceries in and that is saying something. Groceries can get to weighing quite a lot. He is trying to get back to pulling more of his share of the load. Last night we had fun speculating about a trip to Scotland. The tickets weren't as expensive as we thought. We'll discuss things with a travel agent before we really make any moves toward our goal cause it will be a trip in a life time for us. He has ideas of us spending a night in Edinburgh then maybe finding a way to get somewhere smaller like Eyemouth, I think its called. We have enjoyed staying in seaports before. (The Victoria, British Columbia, Canada area is a favorite.) Have a good night!

@popcicecold Thanks. If nothing else, helping is a good emotional booster for my hubby. He needs to not feel like a patient all the time.

@JimBo452020 That's not a bad idea. Now how about some ideas on how to get from Edinburgh to Eyemouth or is there another fishing village near that has character? Hopefully friendly people, too.

@JimBo452020 NO. No to car. I am a chicken when it comes to driving in Seattle and that is only maybe 80 miles from my house. I am not driving a car in a foreign country.

Oh that trip sounds amazing I hope you guys can do it. I know one myLot member here is from Scotland maybe he can give you some helpful advice. What is stored in the two sheds? A he-shed and a she-shed?

@shaggin I've been talking with our Scots buddy. Hubby is using the largest shed for a shop. He wants to slowly turn it into a kind of apartment. It looks like a barn on the inside. I love old sheds and barns.

Glad hubby is rallying and I hope it continues. What has made the biggest difference in how he feels, do you think?

@snowy2215 Good question and I don't have an answer. Maybe cause he is forcing himself to eat a little more? His blood sugar is evening out? The thyroid meds are kicking in? Don't know.

That would be a great trip, I'm sure. Anne would love to revisit Turkey, but the earthquake would make it difficult to see some of the places where she lived.

I'm glad hubby was able to get out a little bit. How is he doing? I would LOVE to go to Scotland. I could listen to the accent all day long; and I'd want to go to Loch Ness and watch for Nessie.
