This story that comes from Cincinnati Ohio is kind of odd since a family that was inside their home had to evacuate their residence on Wednesday March 15 when their home had a carbon monoxide leak which caused the member of the family to leave. Hamilton County Game Wardens answered the emergency call from the dispatcher when they found out that an owl who was either a male or female was trapped in the chimney of the home. Game Warden Lieutenant Connors rescued the owl that was trapped inside of the chimney. The good news is that the owl was evaluated by the game warden and after getting a clean bill of health, the owl was released to go on his or her way in the neighborhood. Hmm, I wonder what was causing the carbon monoxide scent. Actually, that is supposed to be odorless.Maybe the owl was totally blocking air circulation.

You ever ever seen owl without their feathers, they so small. Even their Skeleton looks to small to carry all those feathers.

So glad the owl is alright. And, the family. Carbon monoxide is scary. Hope they get a detector.

I hope that the family that had to leave their home due to the owl getting stuck in their chimney does get a detector soon.

@Deepizzaguy We have several owls who live in our woods and the surrounding forested areas. Sometimes as night comes on or just before dawn, we can hear them calling to each other.

What was that owl doing playing Santa Claus? Well, mystery solved no fire or monoxide issues I always hear the birds by my chimney. I have a screen over mine, but that would be pretty scary to have a bird trapped.

Seeing a bird trapped inside of a chimney is bad news for the trapped animal.
