A tiring walk

Spring really does seem to be on its way now, although we are still having some chilly nights and I expect more stormy weather will be on the way as well.
But on the nice days it’s lovely to be able to get out a bit more and make the most of them!
The other day we met up with some friends to go for a walk. It wasn’t an overly strenuous walk, mainly just over fields and down lanes, no big hills or anything like that to deal with. But when we were just over half way, Little One said her legs were tired and she needed to stop for a rest.
So we stopped at the edge of a field and found a nice patch of grass, and then we lay on it and just enjoyed looking at the fluffy clouds, and the blue sky through the branches of the trees.
Being in the company of children gives you licence to do things you would feel stupid/embarrassed to be doing otherwise, which is a shame because we should really do them more often.
When was the last time you just lay in a field and enjoyed looking at the sky?

Not for years... I try to stay out of the sun. Before the pandemic, Pretty and I spent a lot of time at the lake, floating around on inflatable toys looking at the stars.

@Fleura It really was nice. We went floating several times a week.

No fields to lay in now, When I lived in Latvia I would put down a blanket in my garden and watch clouds go by.
