Later this evening, Vince’s brother will take us to the airport to start our journey to Ireland. We fly for eleven hours with Emirates airline to Dubai where we have a two-hour stopover and change planes for another seven hours to Dublin. After that it is a four-hour journey by car or train to our son’s home. Thankfully he is meeting us at the airport. I hope we can still think straight at that point.
We need to think straight as Vince needs to take two particular tablets at 12 hour intervals and we’ll be changing time zones, etc. I’m going to leave my watch on West Australian time so we’ll know when 12 hours have gone by. Slowly we’ll adjust his medications to times that suit our new conditions.
It seems ensuring we have enough medications and having them accessible during the flight has taken up a lot of thinking time.
The photo is off a bridge in Co. Kerry, Ireland. It was taken on a previous trip.

Just be careful on the trip... We don't want to find out you were detained in Dubai for carrying anything illegal into their country.
I hope the trip goes smoothly and you have very nice flights.

Again had a look at this post.
My first flight out of country was on an Emirates New Delhi-Dubai-London Heathrow.
I had around 6 to 7 hours stop at Dubai Airport.
It's very big airport.
I met another traveling Indian and had a good conversation with him there.
Memories came rushing to me!
I hope that you had a nice flight!

@JudyEv
Did you do any Duty Free shopping at Dubai?
Duty Free at Dubai used to be a big thing back in 2000s.
Not that sure now.

@LindaOHio I have no idea about Rodeo Drive. Here is a magnificent feature in a big shopping mall. Can you see the statues of the divers in the waterfall? There were a lot of Arabs and the women were completely covered up.

@JudyEv What was it like? I picture it with people like those you find on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.

Oh, the time change makes that very confusing, but I know you'll keep it straight. Have fun!

That's a long travel and a lot of time zone changes.
It would be tiring no doubt but in the end worth doing it.
Looking forward to your Travel Tales and other things enroute.
Plus it is good that obstacles in Trip Planning got removed for you !
