Footprints round Loughlannagh, Castlebar, Ireland

On our walk round Loughlannagh recently, there were a number of interesting ‘installations’ for want of a better word. One was this set of footprints representing a family walking round the lough. There are also footprints of an individual and their dog and those of a sprinter. When we were there, a lot of individuals were out walking; some with dogs, some with families and some on their own.

Lovely people out walking Judy. Wonder if any of those footprints belong to leprechauns.

The little ones could quite easily belong to leprechauns.

@JudyEv Indeed, sure it wouldn't be faeries as they'd be flying

I have "real" footprints left by the cat of my neighbors, he walked when the pathway was not yet dry.

@JudyEv They seem to wait the moment you turn the head to leave their prints... they are Hollywood Stars you know!

@LadyDuck I've seen YouTubes of hens walking through wet cement. Their prints go quite deep.

Along the canal towpath it is so muddy there are plenty of footprints, including hoof prints!

There is so much moisture and 'soft' rain here that there is plenty of mud everywhere. Haven't seen any hoofprints yet.

@JudyEv You aren't looking hard enough! There are horses everywhere in Ireland, or so I am told!

@Ronrybs Haha - you're quite right. I've seen quite a few horses but no actual hoofprints.

The only footprints I remember were those at Grauman's Chinese Theater in California.

When I was little we lived in Germany for about 3 years and I recall walking all over the place, mom hadn't learned to drive yet so we'd walk and so would a lot of Germans outside our base.
