It's been a couple of weeks since we got back home here in Australia from the Philippines.. I am just starting to catch up with the cleaning and dusting..It's been really cold since we got back so, the gardening can wait..
But yesterday, I went out to clean up the courtyard, and as was about to grab the broom, i saw the tail moved... I thought it was a snake.. but it's a blue tongue lizard
.. It's a huge one.. about a foot long..I've never seen that size before..But hubby said that he saw one that is about 18 inches long in the front garden..
So glad to see a few of them taking up residence in our garden ever since we had the dog put to sleep..Without dogs and cats, the lizards are happy
...
I managed to take a photo and a short video..

The first time I saw one I was also scared.. But when I learned more about it, I want to see them in the garden..

Yes a foot long is already big but I really would like to see the 18 inch one that lives in the front garden..

@rakski for some reasons, I am more terrified of the small ones than the blue tongue lizards..

They eat snails and slugs and insects like spiders.. So it’s good to have them in the garden.. And I heard that snakes stay away from blue tongue lizards..
