Feeling better

Tuesday after school I laid down for a nap. Hubby woke me because the tax person called and wanted us to come to McPherson to sign. So we did. It was already evening, and definitely was dark as we headed back home. . . an hour's trip. It was very windy as well. We drive a mini van and we could certainly feel it. We had made it about ten miles when emergency vehicles began to pass us, going in the same direction. Looking ahead there were more. We knew it would be an adventure. Sure enough the officers directed us off the road, had us turn on side roads. Gravel roads, no lights, farms few and far between, in an area we were not real familiar with. We watched the general flow of traffic of others, both those directed off ahead of us, and we also observed people oncoming who had to detour going from East to West. We had been heading from West, going East. Not a lot of traffic, maybe a hand full all told. Our little detour was about ten miles or maybe a little more. It added fifteen minutes to our trip home. I felt miserable when got home. I had had a headache since Monday morning. Wednesday I woke up with a fever, and made the decision to stay home from work and see a doctor. It is Thursday. I was given the okay to work since I am taking antibiotics and I did not have a fever. Once the headache went away I felt so much better. So that is why I have not been here much this week, but the weekend is coming soon. I should add and so am editing, Bob speculated that it was a semi truck blown over by the wind and blocking the entire road. He learned today that he was right. I do not know if the driver was hurt or if the truck was loaded or empty. I will just say it was a lot of wind.

I guess it is a symptom of strep.

I'm glad you're feeling better now. Hopefully, the meds will get rid of the virus entirely... It was really windy here during the night. There was a lot of things banging around outside but I didn't bother to go look and see what was making the noise. When I saw that we'd have a lot of wind, I brought the trash can up onto our front porch. That was the only thing we have outside that could have been blown around.... I let the neighbors worry about their stuff for a change.

Sure enough the neighbors can do their part. Strep is a bacteria, and medicine does not help viruses. I really want to feel better.
