My eyes are failing me

Lately, I couldn't read small prints even with my glasses on. I know I will have to consult my optometrist but I don't want to because I have headaches when I wear my glasses. I know my glasses may need adjustments but I simply don't have the motivation to go.
Hence, you may have noticed my typos in my discussions, which I often edit after posting them, sometimes, after hours. Sorry for that.
Anyway, how was your day? Mine panned out well, there were a few minor glitches but I don't want to focus on them. It's our reaction to what happens to us that counts. Right?

It's time for me to have my eyes checked again, too. I get a headache if I wear my glasses for too long at a time. Luckily, I only need my glasses when I'm driving. I don't bother wearing them any other time... I try to keep the excursions from the house short to minimize headaches.
I'm sure, if you get your eyes checked and get the correct strength prescription, you'll feel better and reading will be easier for you, too.

@Jenaisle I hope you have the time and money to get your eyes checked. Seeing is important. I wouldn't know what to do if I couldn't see.

I have not noticed typos but Jena I strongly encourage you to do get your eyes and prescription done.
Your eyes are so important.
Yes I stayed in today a lot, I think I have cold so no worries.

Your eyes will abruptly change from using just one pair of reading glasses and one pair of distance glasses when you reach your late 30s to early 50s. As an alternative, you can combine both lenses in one eyeglass. There are also progressive lenses, which are more expensive and require you to change your viewing angle.

@Jenaisle Wearing two pairs of glasses—one for reading and one for distance—is a little inconvenient, so I tried the progressive pair while I was driving so I wouldn't have to switch them out every time. The first few months may be a little disorienting, but if you learn the proper technique for reading and seeing far away, it gradually becomes convenient.

I bet your headaches will go away if you get new glasses. It's not uncommon for people to get headaches when their script is wrong or needs readjustments. It'll also help with your vision and seeing clearly especially small print. I get mine check yearly and changed it as need it.
Otherwise, my day was good I didn't do much with my second edition edits, but I did take a nap to catch up on some lost sleep. The kids are home tomorrow on a student holiday.

@ShyBear88 You're right, I have no excuse.
It's my health, I should take care of it.

Yep, sounds like you need to go. My vision has changed little since I got my glasses 4 years ago maybe. However, sometimes small lettering on the TV I can't read. The main reason I would go is to get a new pair of glasses. These are OK, but have never been crazy about them.

You better get your eyes tested without any further delay I only use glasses if the print is too small.

Glasses cost a lot of money, so it's something that we have to weigh up about.
Going to the dentist also costs money, and I am delaying that now, as money is short, but I did get a new pair of glasses, recently.
I was annoyed that they had to make my prescription stronger than before. I spend too much time on my computer, and that tends to dry my eyes out, and worsen their condition.
We need to look away, off into the distance, and change our focus from what we are doing, from time to time. Eye drops have also helped my eyes too.
As to headaches, I usually just take a Panadol tablet, or I sit with my hand palms over my eyes, looking into the darkness, which rests the eyes, and relaxes one too.

Great pointers. I think I need to rest my eyes every now and then as you suggested and buy some eye drops too. I've been meaning to do that for some time now. I am taking Eyeberry now, which is supposed to clear my eyesight within a month.
Such practical suggestions. They are well-taken. Thank you/

@innertalks Yes, I do walk every morning and evening. I hope too that the Eyeberry works. What I need now is to rest my eyes now and then and visit my optometrist.

@Jenaisle I think getting out and exercising the body also gets blood flowing, and is good for the eyes too, as being inside all of the time, has tended to weaken my eyes too.
I hope the Eyeberry works. I usually just take a general natural-based multi-vitamin chewable tablet, consisting of superfoods, greens, and fruits.

My eyeglasses also need adjustment but I am too lazy to go. And I have been battling with allergy these last few days.
