Saturday Afternoon

Good afternoon from a nice day in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It's partly sunny, which means it's also partly cloudy. However, the sun is shining, so I'll call it partly sunny. The wind is light and feels good.
I left before I could do the morning brief. I didn't have a lot to do today, and only needed bananas, so hemmed and hawed about going shopping. I just got home. First, I went on the trail with my friend down the hall who is working with me for the book club. She's going to do the flyer for it. She brought over a flyer for it this morning that was hilarious, and so not me. The woman in the flyer was a bit risque.
After the trail, I bagged up all my plastic bags and headed to the store. My bananas cost over $100. Now before you gasp, you know I came out of the store with a lot more than bananas. I have enough to carry me through to the end of the month. Including bananas. And I didn't donate any of my groceries today. They all went into my trunk.
As for the rest of my day, I plan to get the notifications caught up and then work on Where Eagles Soar.
How is your day going? Is anything exciting happening in your part of the myLot world? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

I'd be burned out on bananas with that many.

I like bananas. We usually buy two or three bunches of them every time we go shopping. Pretty will eat one or two bananas and I'll eat the rest over four or five days.

@DaddyEvil I can understand the three bunches for two people. I buy two - three bunches when I go. And I live alone.

Those were some expensive bananas. lol Saturday was my best-friend's birthday. We didn't get to celebrate together because it stormed most of the morning. But I did give cats treats to celebrate anyway.

Wow, $100 for bananas??? What do you do with them? I often buy bananas and freeze them for smoothies. But I have never bought $100 worth at one time. Are they a special kind? Are they organic? Nothing exciting is happening today here. I did 2 loads of washing and changed the sheets on the bed. I am making Shepherd's Pie for dinner.

I'm planning on making that soon. I bought lentils for it today. I only need to check over the recipe to make sure I have all the ingredients.
I eat them one at a time.
