My Third Eye Did all the Crying..

Last year, during the third term of my Visual Arts Cert.IV course, I became very sick with covid.. I honestly just wanted to end it.. at some point, I wanted to cry my heart out, because I thought maybe, crying would ease the pain and discomfort.. but I couldn't... It was as if my tear glands dried out.. I missed a couple weeks classes that I decided to just quit.. I was in bed for two weeks and during that time, I surrendered.. Meaning, I was at peace with myself if I die.. i said goodbye to my husband.. and the kids... He said," Oh! stop being a drama queen! You're not going to die! Not yet anyway",... Kids said, "Mum, just rest and drink a lot of water!! You're not gonna die! Not yet anyway!".... Then, something clicked inside of me.. Maybe i need to drink more..And so, I slowly felt better..I felt very enlightened after two and a half weeks..The first thing I did, when i was finally out of bed, is to make this artwork.. I thought no wonder I can't cry... My third Eye did all the crying..

Is this the reason of the small red dot that indians have on their forehead? Does it mean it's your third eye or this is a metaphor? Sorry if this sounds offensive Am glad you were able to take control of the situation

@Laurakemunto The red dot is called "bindi". Back in time it was worn by women for religious purposes or to indicate that they're married. In our days most women wear it as a "beauty mark".

I'm glad you were able to get well and that your family did not get ill. I hope you don't have any after effects.

My husband also had covid and all the other members of the family who don't live with us... Amazingly, the only family members who didn't get it are those who did not get the vaccine..

I am glad that you started drinking more and little by little Covid left your body and now you are well. Very interesting artwork.

I'm sorry you've been so sick. Thankfully, neither of us have had covid yet. I'm hoping I don't catch it on the way home.

Happy that you could keep the situation under control. Hope you are feeling all okay now. We got Covid during the second wave here and it was awful . It did leave behind some side effects that still persist. Third eye has a great significance in Hindu mythology. The centre of two eyebrows in Hinduism is considered the superior most chakra ( energy centre) and symbolises strength. It's a beautiful art
