We have been best friends for years We were working together and even after she gave up working we stayed in touch. And now we both live in different States. She has visited me many times and stayed with me too. We even went on a holiday together. We call up each other and have long conversations Sadly we cannot visit each other as we are in no position to travel any more Who is your best friend? Image Credit:pinterest

Sorry to know you are in no position to travel anymore. I have no best friend in life now. I had one for 30 years but something happened to her..not sure what but it was not good.

My best friend’s name is Naomi. I love her like a sister, and I am closer to her than I am my biological sister. I can tell her absolutely anything, and she can tell me the same. We’ve been friends for about 16 years, and we met at church. Although we no longer we go to the same church we are probably more in contact now than ever before. Thankfully, she lives about 35 minutes away from me. She lives in the boonies so I’m a little scared to go to her house!

@allknowing Right. For instance, I went on vacation with a different friend last year, but she is not the friend I can tell anything to.

Yes it's hard to find true friends these days. I have school friends with whom my friendship is of 40 years. Then there is fellow who met me when I used to live alone in a different city. We became room partners and then became best friends. We have been friends from 20 years now.

My best friends are two sweet women now in their mid 50s. We met them 20 years ago and we immediately became friends. They used to come to visit us before Covid. We keep in touch with them and hope to meet them again this summer.

@allknowing - We were shocked when his brother called us. He had sent us a text message with a photo of a party where he has been during the evening.

My best friend is my neighbor on the upper floor. I treat him like a brother and we used to be colleagues. So, to have him living upstairs was a coincidence. Sometimes, we share recipe tips because he loves to cook and will impart his little tips and knowledge to me. It's weird to have a neighbor as your best friend, but that's the truth for me.

I've known my best friend since school (possibly even nursery) so we've been friends for a long time. We were friends all through school, lost touch when I went to college, got back in touch when I had my eldest son (thankfully, my friends parents still lived in the same place so they got the card I've sent to her to tell her about my offspring). We've become closer/better friends over the past few years as well. We don't do much together but we try to meet up for a meal. It used to be about once a month but it's less often now, and we occasionally have a 'bestie day' where we just do something nice together.

Seems your little one brought the two of you together once again and there you are now keeping in touch though not so often. May your friendship last.

You kept in touch despite the distance, that's commendable. I have met again my best friend in college on FB just recently, and since then we kept in touch through calls or texts. She lives in the province, while I live in the city but true friendship knows no boundaries.

My best friend lives about 800 miles away so we keep in touch by phone and text. We're hoping she can come for a visit this fall after I finish my cancer treatments.
