A Korean student ate a banana duct-taped to a wall in the Leeum Museum of Art in Seoul, South Korea. It was an exhibit called Comedian worth $120,000 by artist Maurizio Cattelan. The hungry student was not charged with a crime.
I have questions! Why is this art? Could I get rich taping fruit to a wall? Why is it worth so much? Should I become an artist? What do you think about this?
Artist Maurizio Cattelan says he has 'no problem at all' with Noh Huyn-soo munching his iconic work Comedian

@RebeccasFarm I can't figure out why it is worth so much, They tape a new banana up every third day. It is just weird to me.

@akalinus What is 'art' in your opinion?? I think an art is a creative activity.I know and enjoy arts like music;singing;painting etc.Was what the student did an art?? What do you think??

Some of the things they call art are ridiculous these days.

The whole thing is absurd on so many levels to me. lol. I do remember hearing about this, but it's funny to go back over it. One wonders if the student who ate the banana was part of the "art?" I mean, think about it. What's going to get more publicity? A $120,000 banana duct taped to a wall or a hungry student eating the $120,000 banana? I think the latter, and it's part of the reason the student was not charged. He was part of the "display."
