The bottle palm is in bloom

It took more than 15 years for one of our bottle palms to bloom The yellow cluster of flowers also called inflorescence is standing out way up there My eyes could not miss it. They will soon be converted to seeds and that may take may be a few months We had planted six of them of which 4 have survived They add to the height of our garden standing up royally and in a dignified manner. It made my day capturing this rare happening

I noticed the inflorescence looking at the three palms of one of the neighbors. I hope they will not spread to our garden.

@allknowing I have spent one hour yesterday cutting all the young palms that were growing when I do not want them.
