There are many natural lakes and tanks adjacent to the seas in India. Fishes are nurtured in these areas. They are called bheries. The fishes are bred according to size and then sold in the market.Unlike the sea waters the waters of the bheries are not saline which are helpful for the river fishes.

@Laurakemunto Yes it is a good income. I have seen people do business of fishes like farmers do farming on their land

@DaddyEvil thanks DE I did not buy the fishes the problem was that the uncooked fishes smell and retaining them for the week would have been difficult.

I know of tilapia fish which is found in fresh waters and it's so tasty
