When was the last time you had your nails done?

So my neighbor’s daughter is a Beauty Care student in senior high school. She wants to be a nail salon artist, and as part of her course, she has to service three “clients” and get their honest feedback. My neighbor asked if I wanted to get my nails done for free. Free being the operative word, of course I went for it. Please don’t judge. Lol.
We had our little session, and I could tell she was nervous at first, but she got her nerves under control after a while. I even chose some outrageous colors just to see if she would give her honest opinion—and surprisingly, she did! She suggested other colors that would match my “color tone.” She wasn’t too heavy-handed, which makes sense for a beginner.
All in all, it was a nice nail experience, especially coming from an 18-year-old.

I cut my own nails and make sure the cuticles look okay and that's all I do... Sometimes Pretty wears polish but most of the time she just trims her nails and leaves them bare. She does like her nails about 6 mm long. (She has had her nails done in a salon but it's been several years.)

Oh, that picture is a fright. It sounds like you got a treat! I would have gone for it too. I haven't had my nails done in a salon for 16 years. Pedicure sure, but not a manicure. It would be nice to get my nails done, but there isn't money for both. I try to take care of my nails as best as possible.

@sol_cee Well it was a really long time ago, I’m sure I don’t have any photos still around. But next time I paint my nails I’ll make sure to send you a picture.

I do care about my nails but after several trips to the doctor, after I got nicked in my pedicures because of my onychocryptosis, I stopped going to the nail salon and did my nails instead. I even had an entire toenail surgically removed because of these pedicure wounds that wouldn't heal.

It's nice you did that for your neighbor and that she did a decent job! I don't do much with my nails because I use my hands a lot . . . but I am told they are strong .
