Peace and quiet.

I went yesterday to have a look at the house I’m trying to buy, and photographed it from a kilometre away. It’s the white one on top of the tree-covered hill. There are no trees in front of it so the view of the sea is uninterrupted, and the trees also filter out any noise coming from the road below. All you can hear from the garden is the sigh and moan of the sea along with birdsong.

That looks a great, isolated spot. Does the road go up from down near the sea or is there a road up behind the house? It's an ideal place for a house, for sure.

@daddyevil There are a few quiet, elderly neighbours screened off by trees so I neither see nor hear them. Perfect.

That looks like a wonderful setting - as long as you have no problems getting up the hill of course! Must be a fabulous view from up there.

@fleura I can see all the way to Scotland on a clear day. The road comes from inland rather than soaring straight up from the sea.
