Where Did the Money Go?

My bank here on myLot is a lot more empty than it was when I first popped in this morning. That's easy to explain... just look to the dollar signs by the logo for that monthly clue! What's not so easy to explain is where the heck we've spent enough to run up my credit card. I know I spent quite a bit on renewing our zoo membership and registering one of the kids for their summer camp... and I paid for my MIL's dog's spay surgery... and I bought some groceries on it because the chip in my debit card wasn't cooperating... and then the kids wanted things from Dollar Tree when I stopped for a few new scrubby brushes... and clearly I need to get back in the habit of tracking all of my purchases in the budget file when I make them!

Everything costs so much these days, it's a wonder we aren't all massively in debt.

Some months expenses just pile up but it is good to have a budget for those expenses.

It's so easy to buy small things here and there and before you know it there is a whole lot owing.

Inflation really has been the devil. I don’t have a lot, but I’ve never spent a lot. Whereas, my sister has to track everything. Even as a child, she spent her allowance before she got it. Her husband makes excellent money. They just want to make sure it stays that way.

It's so easy to spend money than it is to make it.

With the price rising day by day everything become a bit more expensive and we don't even know how quickly it can add up and the money is gone before we know.
