I am sure most here must have been addicted to Archie Comics just as I have been. This series started in the year 1942 and ended in the year 2015. I have not read the second series.
I got introduced to Archie Comics when I shifted from my native land to a city where my married sister was living Her husband was an addict of not just Archie Comics but he was a member of a library close by and would get every kind of comic books he could lay is hands on. I became an addict too and just like him got my hands on anything that made me laugh and sometimes cry too.
My favourite character in the Archie Comics was Jughead and not that I disliked others.
Are you fond of reading comics? Which comics do you read?

I occationally read Archie comica but they were not my favorite. I preferred animals and Tweetie was so mean that I loved him. As Archie went, Jughead was by far my favorite character.

@allknowing I specially did not like the girls from Archie. I always thought both of them were rather dumb. I liked much better Little Lulu.

@marguicha I preferred Betty to Veronica. I enjoyed Little Lulu. I remember how she changed her name to Lulubelle so that the soft icing on her cake with which her name would be written would be long and she would enjoy it (lol)
I remember reading those little picture books on romance.

I do remember the original Archie comics when I was living in the former Canal Zone in Panama. I enjoyed Archie Andrews a lot. The local television station in Panama would carry the cartoons on Saturday mornings in Spanish. Cool show that I would wish would come back again on television updated based on the original material.

Archie was always portrayed as a good boy. He was good in studies and every one asked him what was the secret and he said I studied (lol)

I know OF the Archie comics, but I never read them. On occasion, when I was a child, I would read the comic strips in the newspaper, but that was some time ago. Archie and his gang certainly are popular though. When my dad was a child I know he loved comic books.

My sister and I went through a summer or two when we were very young, reading comics. I liked the Archie ones. My favorite person was Cadbury, the butler. I thought it would be so cool to have a butler to do all the work!
We used to collect soda bottles that we redeemed for money so we spent that on comic books!

Most towns and cities in the US have free public libraries, you just have to show your ID to get a library card. Then you can check the books out for free.
