One of the rest stops on the Eyre Highway from Western Australia to the eastern states is Mundrabilla. Consisting of a roadhouse, it offers fuel, supplies, takeaway food and a restaurant, limited mechanical services and accommodation. It is situated on the Indian Pacific railway and is 1363 km from Perth and 1331 km from Adelaide, capital of South Australia.
Vince and his brother passed through Mundrabilla recently and Vince snapped this incredible mural on the wall of the building. The emu itself is pretty stunning but I have no idea of the significance of the background motifs.
The name ‘Mundrabilla’ doesn’t stand for anything in particular.

@JudyEv I like the mural. I just wish we knew more about it.
I've seen some beautiful paintings done by graffiti artists here in the US and am always in awe of their work. If they ever decided to paint for a living, some of them would be famous, I'm sure.
One graffiti artist I talked with told me that fame doesn't pay his bills, which I guess is true... That's a shame, though. He didn't believe his work was good enough to sell.
You can't convince some people that they're really good at something without showing them the money first.

@DaddyEvil It might be quite new which is why it isn't appearing anywhere.

It sounds like it should but I've checked and it seems it was made up by the owners of the sheep station.
