Visited Joann S. for a While on Tuesday

Jay and I had an ulterior motive, for visiting Joann S. on Tuesday. As you already know, we are planning to build a new home. And Joann had her home built about eight years ago.
Joann was our next door neighbor for ten years, at our first house. We both moved away from that neighborhood, in the same time frame.
When I finally visited Joann's new home, I fell in love with the design of its rooms. So, Jay and I paid her a visit Tuesday, to let him see the exact type of floorplan that I love!
My husband was very pleased and now he wants the exact design, we are on the same page. So, Barry S. who built Joann's house will be getting a phone call very soon:) He works as a private contractor in this area of Michigan.
We have been going through design books, until my mind was all over a forty acre field! Now, we have finally narrowed it down, the home we both want to live in.

@RubyHawk My father's only regret, he put in one bathroom. With three girls and a son, this made it hard getting ready for school:( And on holidays with family, it was awful.

The floorplan will be the same, but cupboards and other choices will be different. She has a bathtub, we want a shower and two bathrooms, not one.

Seeing photos in books is OK, but it's better to view an actual home.

Actually, I never thought about building another home. I wanted by buy one instead. Jay is determined, he wants to construct a home, which is fine with me. Worrying about it, would only speed up the aging process in me! lol
