Thanks to the work of the United States Coast Guard (USCG) who answered an emergency call from a concerned passenger who was aboard the Princess Cruses' Emerald Princess ship off of the Santa Barbara coast on Wednesday.
The three year old girl was suffering from seizures which caused concerned persons aboard the ship to call the coast guard for help.
The USCG sent a helicopter from San Diego who used a metal basket to rescue the mother and the little girl to be taken to UCLA Medical Center where the little girl is in stable condition.
Just another day in the life of the USCG saving lives of persons who are in need of their assistance.

Glad they were able to rescue the mom and girl and I hope the child will be all right, Just one question don't cruise ships have doctors?

The cruise ship may had a doctor but the article did not mention if the cruise ship had a doctor on board or not.

I think it would be quite scary to be hoisted up in a basket under a helicopter.
