The best and the worse of life

The best in life is when we are still young. We have lots of energy and aspirations. It seems there is no stumbling block along the way. Being young means a promising life. We can eat anything without restrictions. There is always fun with family and friends. It seems there is no sickness to feel. It is better to work out the plans, stabilize the self, and create a fortune so that during old age, we will live in interest or to live in financial freedom. It is good to create an amazing wealth while still young.
The worse in life is when we are already old and penniless and only relying on financial help from children who might get bored of giving after some years.
And the health is not the same during the young years. Why I am saying this because I pity my sister who can hardly walk well because of arthritis. But she continues eating foods that are contradictory to her arthritis. She said she disliked being old but she is still 60.
Thank you for reading-sharing is caring.

I'm sad to hear that, how can your sister continue to eat foods that are against her arthritis?

This reflection on the contrasts of youth and old age resonates deeply. It's a reminder to cherish our vitality and make wise choices for our future. I empathize with the struggles shared, and it reinforces the importance of taking care of our health and planning ahead. Thank you for sharing this thoughtful perspective.

I’m so sorry. It is so tough to see loved ones suffer, especially when their suffering could be lessened if they changed some of their habits. A lot of people don’t understand that what you eat certainly can affect your arthritis in a negative way. SO many foods make inflammation worse, and we know arthritis certainly causes inflammation. Maybe since she knows nothing will make her walk without pain completely she thinks why bother at all.
I feel for her because I have arthritis throughout my spine, as well as in my hands; which is not nearly as bad as your sister. Sometimes I feel hopeless because of the pain. However, watching her must hurt your heart so much. Age can be very cruel. I am 42, and feel very old, so I can’t imagine how she feels.
Has she ever thought about joining an online arthritis support group? Perhaps she could get inspiration from other sufferers, and it might motivate her to change her lifestyle. In the meantime, my heart goes out to you both, and I am happy she has you to care for her wellbeing.

Now, I'm thinking of saving for my old age. My family provides for me now, but I would like to have my own stash of "gold" when I really grow old and could not support myself. Well, hubby can always do that because he's a pensioner too, and he has savings but I would like to have my own.

The younger years often bring energy, aspirations, and a sense of freedom, allowing us to enjoy life without many obstacles. It is wise to plan, stabilize ourselves, and build wealth early on to ensure financial security and a comfortable old age. On the other hand, it can be challenging when one becomes older, financially dependent, and faces health issues, like arthritis, which may restrict mobility. It's important to take care of our health and adapt our lifestyle to age gracefully.

@PurnaSharma, we cannot determine the sickness that may attack our body like arthritis. But if only my sister refrains from eating acidic and too-oily food, perhaps it will not trigger her.

Some people don't care to be responsible for their health. I am a foodie and eat what I like. I live with arthritis too. I do try to eat some healthy items as well as the junk I like too.

@allknowing my sister is a retired banker with a good pension and her hubby is an international seaman. They don't have financial problem only the health because she doesn't refrain from eating foods against her arthritis.

I am still young now, and I value a company's social security very much. Many companies do not pay social security to their employees. Social security is the five types of insurance, including maternity insurance, pension insurance, work-related injury insurance, medical insurance, and unemployment insurance. This is crucial for my elderly retirement life.
