A lot of you guys have fur babies, and I was wondering if you could tell me about them, or share a picture of them. If you don't have a pet, do you want one?
This is a picture of my Chihuahua, Sadie. She is originally from a rescue, and I heard about her from my friend, Naomi, who is heavily involved in rescuing animals. When I adopted her three years ago (she spent the last 2 years of my previous dog Annabelle's life as her sidekick) the rescue said she was anywhere from 7 to 9; which would now make her now 10 to 12. However, when my vet examined her she estimated her age to be around four, which would make her around seven currently. I would go with my vet's guess because of Sadie's energy, and the fact that her eyes are completely clear of any cataracts.

All my pets have been rescued one way or another. I adopted Roscoe pup from the humane society, he was 13 weeks old at the time and kinda skiddish of me, he'd already bonded with the volunteers there. Last year Roscoe found Tuffy, Tuffy was 4 weeks old and I believe his mom forgot where he was. I rescued him from Roscoe who thought he was a toy.
Today I think Tuffy thinks Roscoe is his toy.

We have had several dogs and cats and now we have just cats. I can write a book on our pets.

Preiti was the last of the doggie pets. After my accident taking care of a puppy who runs around would not have been possible. But I have scores of memories of our cute doggies.

We always had a dog, we felt it good for our son to have a dog to play with and both my hubby as well as i enjoyed having a dog around.
Our last dog, Nayla, passed away in 2009.
It broke my heart, and it is still not fully healed so we do not have any pets currently.
But.........we bought and love our son's dog, Ellie.
She is an Aussie-Doodle and adorable.

It is bittersweet that as much as she is now enjoying the girls and they enjoy her, she is starting to age.
When a dog begins to age I feel like it goes quickly, or at least that has been the experiences that we have had with our dogs.
Ellie is my little muffin.
My hubby kisses her on the top of her head, and after the girls saw him doing that, now they try to reach to do that, of course they have to be up on the couch and Ellie there also otherwise she is just too tall for them.

I've had dogs in the past. Rascal was a border collie mix. You could say he was a rescue, but not from a humane society. My older son found him abandoned and brought him to me. I had him for 14 years. The vet figured he was 3-4 months when I got him. My other was a pit/lab mix. She was a wonderful dog. I loved them both. This is Rascal.

Vets usually know. You may have her a very long time. Some Chihuahua's can live into their 20's. I have Nico as you know, who is 5. I do want a second cat, but the fit has to be right.

@AmbiePam He might be OK with one who keeps his or her distance and doesn't try to be buddy, buddy. I knew about Annabelle, did she have cancer? Jax is probably about that age now, if not a little older. He seems OK though.

My baby (in my profile picture) went to Rainbow Bridge in 2002. I have allergies so I just play with the neighborhood pets now.

Sadie is adorable, We only have one pet now. Baby just turned 17 last month. We knew her parents and have had her since she was a kitten.

Sadie is really beautiful and has such expressive eyes. I have two cats Freddie and Morticia. They keep me smiling and also busy taking care of them, I have made several posts about them recently.

I have a cat who is currently only three years and five months old. She is a very picky cat in food. She really does not like to be hugged or carried for too long. But she often climbs on my chest when i am sleeping. And will glare at you if you don't immediately feed her when she's hungry.

Sadie's a cutie. We have a cat Gracie and as much as we'd love to have a dog, we'd want an outside dog and they just won't stay off the highway. Plus you have to make arrangements for them when you travel.

@AmbiePam Me too, she doesn't like to be petted, but she wants to be near wherever we are outside. We're pretty sure she has PTSD after she came close to being hit by a car that ran through our garage a few Christmases ago. Now the least startle sends her running for the woods. I let her come in, but she runs straight for a bedroom and hides under the bed, bless her heart.

I have two cats right now. The Dude is solid black, turns 10 soon. Adopted him in 2014 from a shelter. Brendel turns 14 this year and she is the boss. At only six pounds, she keeps the Dude in line. He is double her sized at least. But he has a laid back personality and it works most of the time. My two babies. Sadie is adorable by the way.

@AmbiePam Brendel has health issues. Kidney disease and chronic bronchitis. Her vets gave up on her a long time ago. But I keep taking care of her, hoping she stays with me a long time. I have tons of photos. Tons! I have been into birds so much lately, I haven't written about them. Here is one of them both lounging on the sofa. During the colder months, they stick tougher. When the weather gets nice, they have separate spots they nap in.
