Overly Dry Weather in Michigan and Forest Fires / myLot

My heart was heavy yesterday, hearing that two forest fires were raging in Michigan. Yes, our community was cloudy it seemed like. Yet, it was actually smoke in the air from these forest fires, raging out of control. I did pray about this terrible news. And then I contacted Taylor, our oldest granddaughter, to make sure her family was safe. This morning Taylor responded by a text message, to let Grandma Jolly know they were doing fine. At this time, their subdivision has smoke in the air, but the wild fire in Oscoda has been extinguished. A man told me the fire in Gaylord is still doing a lot of damage. Because of these extremely dry weather conditions, it is still burning out of control. They definitely need all the prayers you can offer up:) Thank you! Photo: Not mine, borrowed from Pixabay

I'm praying for the wildfires. We're getting smoke from Quebec. I didn't know you had them in Michigan too. So far, I don't think we have any in Wisconsin, but we're suffering from the wildfires. We're desperate for rain too. We have fire bans throughout the state.

This is a critical issue, the fire in Oscoda was extinguished in two days. The one is Gaylord, it's still raging out of control:( Thankyou, for your prayers

That is always tragic when forest fires start. I sure hope they get those fires under control. I will pray that happens.

You are closer to Gaylord area than we are! The smoke here is probably from the Oscoda fire.

They finally have that fire 90% contained, 2,400 acres were burned.

I wish the rains would come and put out all these fires. We don’t have any in our area that I know of but we really need rain.

The fire in Gaylord is still burning out of control. The one in Oscoda, they finally extinguished it..

We had so much haze and bad air from the fires yesterday, and more today. It is hard to be outside here for too long at the present time. I hope they can get the fires out soon, and that you and yours stay safe and well, Kharla.

@kobesbuddy Yes, very hazy here. Anyone with allergies is staying inside if they can. No sunshine today, just haze.
