Many of us post about our meals. What we are having. What we would like.
I just read a post about an older fashion trend and it had good response.
Maybe we should ask "What are you wearing today?" or maybe we shouldn't. . . we might get too much information.
Today I am wearing a casual dress that is sleeveless. It is one that I often wear over my swimming suit when I am taking my student swimming. It is cool, easy care and does not pinch or bind anywhere. I plan to shop today.
If I were planning to mow and work in the yard, etc. I would be wearing shorts and a tank top or sleeveless blouse. I am not working outside today. It is wet.
What other things would you like to know from your friends here on myLot? The juiciest gossip? political commentary? It is a good place to talk about all those common things.

I stay away from politics and religion. Anything else is fair game. I have several things written down in my "ideas" book. One of them is asking where everyone is from. You often can't tell by their avatar...no country or state is mentioned.

I do not want to talk about anything that will make me or someone else mad. I am from Kansas. There are a few people on here that keep their location secret due to having been stalked and harassed, but at least the country would be interesting and would let us understand "where they are coming from."

At the moment, I'm still in my housedress-type nightie. I know it's already 10am but I got up late. If I decide to get dressed and go out to the Centre's yard sale, I'll be wearing green capris and a mauve knit shell. The sun is shining but it's still a bit hazy.

It rained all night here. I am thinking of things I forgot at the store but I will not go back out today. My sister wore those housedresses a lot. They are cool when the weather is hot.

I threw on a pair of shorts, and a t-shirt to go walk Sadie. I guess I'd ask what was the best thing to happen to you today? Sometimes it may be just a good parking space, but I think it would be nice to know.
I probably would also want to ask about what someone watched recently, and maybe get some good ideas for TV viewing. I don't have streaming though, and people tend to recommend a lot of streaming.

I really do not watch TV but Bob does. About 9 months ago I did sign up for NBC Peacock for $1.99 per month. I will have to check how much Bob uses it, as it will go up to $4.99 in September. I have an Amazon Prime membership and streaming comes with it. He is binging old westerns at this time.

@GardenGerty I did get Peacock for free, for six months, but I didn't watch it enough to justify keeping it when it came time to pay for it.
I didn't realize Amazon Prime had a lot of old westerns. My dad would like that.

Not a bad idea, I'm tired of seeing so much about what people are fixing for dinner etc.
Of course I would be the boring one, I either wear jeans or capris with either a tee shirt or tank top. Even when I go shopping I'm boring cuz all I change is the design of the pullover top.

I do not always wear a dress. I had this one out for another reason and then chose not to wear it. Decided it was a simple choice for today. We could talk about foot wear, also.

If I am going around in my yard I do not wear sweats or knit clothes. Mostly I want jeans or woven because we have lots of "stick tights" of different kinds.

No one should ask me about what I am wearing because working from home it is either a housedress being in very warm Florida or from Friday through Sunday just a sleep shirt because Why should I get dressed? I do put on home clothes during the week so that I have a routine to feel like I am out working
There is not gossip here but I could tell you what my cats are doing at any moment I remember back in grade school every morning the teacher would have us write sort of like a diary Today is such and such a date and day and what the weather is like and how we feel but that can quickly get boring. Perhaps I will ask my cats Freddie and Morticia and get back to you. One incident today - I commented something to Freddie and he gave me a look that clearly said - oh, yeah, lady you are another screw short

I've learnt so much about 'everyday people' here. All I really knew about American/Canadian/Indian/Philippino life was what I gleaned from news items and films. I also learnt a lot about snow!! But you're right. All the 'common' stuff is interesting.

I like to seek social support in mylot and political commentary too.
