Pretty weed

This weed was growing all over the place. I worked hard to get rid of it and this year I do not see it any more. The weed as you can see is pretty but whatever invades the garden needs to be got rid of. It took me years to do it and finally I think I have succeeded. We have a few more and they too are pretty weeds. If I just ignore them they will invade the whole garden and kill the good plants Do you keep pretty weeds in your garden

One of the mint plants keeps trying to take over the entire flowerbed. I told Pretty that I want it taken out of the flowerbed this year. (She pulled part of it up last year but left a big chunk of it so now we have to start pulling it all up again.)

I understand. Even plants that we use should know their limits (lol)

@allknowing True and that mint is too hot for me to use. It burns my tongue.

I tend to like weeds and wildflowers. I would keep many of them in the front garden. A few are medicinal so I don't eliminate them totally. I used to sketch weeds and wildflowers a lot. I believe they are just as special as the more revered ornamentals and flowering plants.

@allknowing I would usually remove the encroaching and crawling types. My rabbits love to feed on them.

You are right that this is a pretty weed. I can understand though why you’d want to get rid of it.

Some things are very quick to take over if they're not kept under control.

Not easy sometimes when they look prettier than the plants

@allknowing Yes, but the other useful plants have to be protected.

I have only ugly weeds that invade my garden. I pull them up by their roots. That usually gets rid of them.

Some weeds look pretty and I made the mistake to keep even too many, some have spread.

They will devour your whole garden and so you better restrict their growth
