6/19/23 - Meals & Update

There have been a couple of people asking how my hubby is doing. His surgery seems to be healed after two rounds of steroids; but he is still getting pain in the same area that he was before the surgery...so the surgery hasn't made any difference. This is the trouble with spinal surgery...it's not always successful. Thank you to those that have asked about him.
They have changed the forecast for northern Ohio again. Now they're saying no chance of rain for the next week. That's a disappointment.
Breakfast - Protein bar
Lunch - Ham and Swiss on a bagel and coleslaw
Dessert/Snack - Cream cheese brownie and decaf coffee
Dinner - KFC chicken, mashed potatoes, corn and coleslaw

@LindaOHio You are so right. The past Monday this is what my husband said to his doctor, he has enough to go through painful tests to discover nothing. He is right, let me live my life and I will follow my destiny.

We might get rain tomorrow. As for hubby, he doesn't want to go through that again.

I just wish there was something out there that would have been more successful, but you are right about spinal surgery being iffy.
Yesterday, I had pieces of a deli chicken, 2 walnut chocolate chip cookies, some carrots, and Chef Boyardee’s beef ravioli.

@LindaOHio Oh no, it's not that good to me, but they were having a sale, and with my back how it had been, it's so convenient. I think maybe I'm developing an appreciation for it.

I'm sorry. I thought the second steroid treatment had helped your hubby.
I ate a cheese sandwich for breakfast, two slices of a barbecue chicken pizza for lunch and white peach, a handful of green grapes and two fried chicken legs for supper last night.

They helped the surgery pain; but now he is getting the same pain he had before the surgery; so the surgery didn't help. You enjoy your day too!

I'm sorry there's no change to his pain after the surgery.
Lovely picture of the theater.
Yesterday I had an egg omelet with shredded cheese and potato for breakfast. Lunch was fish, pollack and potato, supper was potluck. I kept it to a minimum and won on the scale this morning.

Sorry to hear that the surgery may not have helped.
And sorry about the weather. Maybe soon it will bring some rain, perhaps the next week.
Sounds like good meals minus the coleslaw and corn!
