The temps were super today. Warm and this side of almost hot. I actually put in two sessions of mowing today- battery is good for about half an hour.
This afternoon I put Peter kitten's vest on him and took him outside. Rufus and Beau Teak kitty followed. I sat for a few minutes listening to birds before I began hoeing bind weed out of the main back garden. I just like to putter when its nice outside. I hoed out tall weeds from an area that the renter had put gravel on. I worry about tossing gravel when I mow such spots so I decided to hoe the weeds out.
I hope your day has gone well. I should get up and make an evening meal. We even have leftover cornbread!

I'm glad it was nice at your house. It got hot early here... At least more of your yard is done. 
Pretty didn't go out and do any of the mowing today. (I fell twice so didn't think I should be mowing today.)

@LindaOHio Yeah, I wish I could stop... Pretty follows me around and catches me when I start tipping over. It's not fun for me.
Pretty did go out this afternoon and mowed a section of the back yard and ran out of battery just as it started thundering and pouring rain.

I wish you didn’t have to mess with that gravel though. It’s too bad the renter couldn’t have sorted that out themselves, but I don’t really know the protocol for that. But I’m sure the kitties would help if they could. 
I tell you, the more people talk about their cats, the more I want one. If only my dog, Sadie, would cooperate (she’s so ornery).

That's fantastic, here it got to the other side of hot, 102f and dry as a bone.
Can you teach me what kind of vest to get for Tuffy? I have 2, one is too small and the other he just hates and now I can't get him to want to go outside. Well, he is kinda skiddish when he's outside anyway, he seems to forget who I am and if he is outside and I walk away then when I come back he's suddenly terrified of me. I'm beginning to wonder if maybe he has poor eyesight then I wonder why he hasn't caught my scent. First cat I've had that's done that to me.

@rebelann I think I got the vest off Amazon. Peter may be getting too portly for it!! He is pretty mellow but as you know, not all cats are that way. And I have tons of green grassy weeds for him to scope out. Going outside may be not be the best idea for your sweet boy.

I enjoyed my day at home working on sharing good news stories on this site as well as completing surveys today that was warm with showers coming around evening after the sunset.

We need to have our flower bed weeded SO BADLY. Our housekeeper is coming Monday; but it's supposed to rain; so she won't be able to weed. Hope you and the crew have a good weekend.
