6 July - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today turned out better than expected, considering how it started.
I'm thankful the trip to my son's this morning wasn't a wasted trip. I didn't get the car fixed, but I did get the milk and butter I forgot yesterday.
I'm thankful I got the notifications done before I went down for Canasta. It was a fun game. There were six of us, so two tables of three and no partners. No, I didn't win this time. I was low man or rather woman when the scores were tallied. And I tallied them.
I'm thankful for a cool pleasant day. No bad air quality or humidity. I've had the patio door open most of the day.
I'm thankful for the scale this morning. I lost everything I gained yesterday from what I ate on the Fourth of July. So, that was good. Now to keep it going in the right direction.
I'm thankful for the sleep I got last night. Seven hours. With my lack of sleep the last couple of nights it was good to get an almost full night's sleep.
Okay, that's my day. My dinner is out of the oven and microwave. I'm having salmon and baked potato.

@Treborika I dread next year. It's four days after the celebration and my dog still acts like he is not totally normal.

I am thankful that the food club brought in the weekly meals this afternoon as well as the rainy weather in the area that will neutralize the heatwave that was around at the beginning of the week.

I am thankful I slept throug the night last night. I am thankful my neighbor was outside and offered give me a ride to the grocery store so I didn't have to walk in the stifling heat. I am thankful that same neighbor trimmed the bushes alongside my patio. I am thankful my son responses to my text within milliseconds of receiving it. Etc.

I had salmon too. And congratulations for getting any weight you gained during the Fourth of July back off again. I am thankful the grocery store had everything I needed, when that doesn’t always happen. I wasn’t sure they’d have the salmon, and you know how tasty and healthy salmon is!
