An emotional support washcloth

Katy, my great niece, Beanie's mom recently got three guinea pigs. They live in a kiddie pool with washable puppy pads and hay and other guinea pig stuff.
I guess Katy decided to let them roam free in the apartment for a while. The other two are having a good ole time. Then there is Henrietta. Henrietta found a wash cloth and refuses to give it up. Katy says it is her emotional support wash cloth.
Maybe the world is just to big for the pig when she is outside of her home. She does look a bit stressed to me.
What kind of emotional support does your pet need?

I understand that. I had gotten to having no pets, but then I have helped people out a lot the last few years and seem to be at two right now and they are spoiled.

@RubyHawk SMy hubby is home most of the time, and especially in the winter he spends time with them. He is helping more with the feeding and cleaning chores as well.

@GardenGerty That’s good of you to do it. My granddaughter has three dogs she couldn’t turn away and she works long hours and has little time to be with them. Its a hardship for her but no way will she turn them away.

Oh, she is so cute! I love guinea pigs. Be careful, they are sort of like rabbits...when allowed to go free in the house they chew stuff!

Usually they are in their pen, or pool, whatever you call it. I can imagine how they could chew up cords especially.

@GardenGerty
Oh, yes, a definite fondness for chewing on cords!

@MarieCoyle I have an online friend that always had free roaming guinea pigs and rabbits and she was constantly replacing cords I think it may be a smell in the rubber coating, but I guess it could be the texture.

My kitties need food for emotional support, I think. They also need to know where I am, especially at night.

That's cute... My fishies don't need emotional support. They just like to "pet" me once in a while.

I have heard fish are much smarter than people think.

@GardenGerty Oh, yes... there are new-ish studies out that say fish can remember things for three months or longer, depending on what it is you're teaching them.
My fishies like it when I put my fingers into their tank. They swim around and around, rubbing against my fingers.

@GardenGerty They are fun pets but not a long life span. We had some when the kids were growing up

She is the "boss" I guess and nothing disturbs her.

My cats need me, and food, and I am not sure which they need most.

Bless his little heart. Our cat Gracie always needs something to hide under. I think it's because of her PTSD.

Katy got her piggies from the shelter and made sure that she did not leave one behind alone as she says they need at least one other, so she took three females leaving the two males behind. She has had them before and seems really knowledgeable, but does not really know their pasts. Henrietta could have some traumatic history.

That's so cute. We no longer have pets; but one dog used to be terrified when he heard it start raining because he was afraid of thunder. He would try and claw his way into my lap...all 50 pounds of him. Poor baby. Enjoy your weekend.

I am lucky the cats do not even notice the thunder. Yes, I thought this piggy was cute.
