8 July - What I'm Thankful for Today

I'm more thankful by the hour that Monday is drawing closer, and I will have my new computer. It's been a good day today. I haven't spent a lot of time on the computer, so my frustration level is down. That's a good thing.
I'm thankful for the sleep I got last night. Not sure how much but it was going on 5 when I got up this morning.
I'm thankful I got the laundry done as soon as I got up. It's folded and the shirts are hung up. I still need to get the rest put away.
I'm thankful I got the garbage taken down this morning. One less thing I need to do.
I'm also thankful I got most of the apartment cleaned. I have an inspection on Tuesday. I'll be ready.
I'm thankful for the decision I made today regarding my car. I called my son and told him I will get rid of it. He was expecting that. I've been dealing with no windshield washer because the pump is broken. The brake pedal goes to the floor, and the latest is the dashboard lights. They didn't work when I came home from the prayer meeting on Monday night. They came on when I hit a bump in the road. So, it's time to get rid of it. It's a good decision and he agrees with me. I have people who can take me where I need to go, and he can help me with groceries. I'm not giving up my license.
I'm thankful I cleaned off the dining room table. I found a form from Housing I needed to fill out and turn in last month. Everything went fine until I needed to make a copy of my Social Security letter. I couldn't find it. I made a note about it on the form. When I located the paperwork from my apartment renewal, I found the Social Security letter. Then I needed to scan it. I needed to download the app for the scanner. Done, sealed, and left the apartment looking at my watch wondering if I missed the mailman. He was standing in the front door when I got to the mailroom, ready to leave. I gave him my letter and breathed a sigh of relief that that was done.
That's my day. I'm getting off the computer for the weekend. I'll do the Bible study tomorrow, and then Monday, it will be the new computer. Though not when I get up in the morning to do the Bible study.

Well so far this morning, I am grateful it is not too humid. Wow, I am not sure how you will cope with no car since you like to go to the pool like at 4AM in the morning and so forth. I don't know how many takers you going to have for that detail. You may find it frustrating to have to depend on others when you are used to your independence.

@just4him It's kind of a catch 22 though because you may need the pool in order to lose the weight to begin with. You will probably need some kind of cardio, and with some of your orothopedic issues swimming is probably the healthiest thing for you to do.

That would be a problem if I was still going to the pool. I haven't been there since I gained the weight back and the new suit I bought doesn't fit. I plan to get back to the pool as soon as the weight is gone, and I can get into the new suit. I'm not buying larger just to go to the pool. It would defeat my resolution to lose weight.
Yes, I'm very dependent. I will need to swallow my pride and ask for help when I need it.

The rain we received even if I got caught in it. The fact that Chilly is happy to see us even though we came back everyday to take care of him. my mad typing skills.

It still works. But I'll be using it less until I get rid of it completely. I'll be able to manage without it. That's going to take some willingness on my part since I'm very independent and don't like depending on other people. Hopefully, it won't be for long.

It's Monday and I hope you get your new computer. I'm sure you'll be happy to have the new one to work on.
I think you made a good decision about the car especially if you have people willing to give you rides.
Glad you made it to the mailman in time to get your stuff out.
I'm thankful for the good nights sleep I got last night and that it's my son and my granddaughters birthdays today

I am thankful for the nice weather outside as well as the fact that the batteries for my remote should be in on Monday and my ability to share good news stories on this site.
