Anita brought the most delicious potatoes.

Anita buys less expensive potatoes but they are much better than the ones I buy. After several alternatives for lunch, I thawed blood sausage which goes very well with mashed potatoes. But the only potatoes I had were a few grown ones, probably toxic. When Anita told me that she was coming I asked her if she could bring some potatoes because I had blood sausage. Se was elated and asked me whether I liked cabbage salad. I said I did and she also offered to bring me some. She also brought sopaipillas ( a sort of deep fried bread that is made with mashed gourd among its ingredients). So we had a wonderful lunch after all. I hadn´t made and eaten such wonderful mashed potatoes in a long time. I could not eat dessert because the amount of potatoes I ate was almost twice the amount I usually eat. Then I took THE nap while Anita and Mario worked. Anita brought coffee to bed before going away with another warm sopaipilla and mashed avocado. Mario finished varnishing the kitchen doors and the window but I discovered that he had to paint some cupboards. When I clean and paint something, another part of the kitchen looks very dirty. Now it is the moment of the day when I enjoy it alone and mylot. Tomorrow Mario will come to finish some things. See you around.

@DaddyEvil She should have done that. I asked her how much did I owe her. She said it was nothing. So I gave her some brown sugar I had to use for the sopaipillas at her home.

@marguicha Oh, that's really nice, then. I figured she asked you to pay for the stuff since you asked her to bring it.

When I was in Tajikistan, I love having potatoes in my fridge. I usually cook them into mojos. Yesterday, I had created some and shared with the family.

Sometimes, no matter how much milk and butter you add, mashed potatoes aren´t that good because of the potatoes. These were awesome. And when Anita brought them, they did not look too good. They were too big and too dirty. At the supermarket, potatoes are washed before they are sold.

At least Mario painted the window and the door, now he needs to paint the cupboards.

@LadyDuck He is a good worker. He is middle aged so he might have learned the old way how to do things (hard work).

He told me about a person he knew whose bathroom was leaking. What was I to say? I had most of the important things in the kitchen done.

When I was a kid, I thought there was only 1 kind of potato. I have learned a lot since then.

I thought so too. I remember the first time we went to Bolivia with my husband. We were invited to my uncle´s house who lived there. My aunt decided to make just about every native dish for us. And she was a teacher so everything came with an explanation. In Bolivia there are maybe 20 or so kinds of potatoes, including some that the Aymaras who live in the Andes freeze by letting them stay in the open air, They were small and gray and not very appetizing.
