We started by heading to Wichita for my appointment with a cardiologist. I have never seen one, and this was scheduled by my primary care physician.
When the office called to confirm with me they said the appointment would be in Wichita, at such and such address. We followed google directions, so had a hard time with all the highways etc. But arrived just in time.
Arrived just in time only to be told that this was the day the doctor was in Marion, only ten miles from our house. Oh no!!
Not an urgent appointment so it was rescheduled for the next time the doctor goes to Marion. That is the first week of August.
Big waste of gas.
It was stormy, is stormy all around us. I will put up another post pretty quickly, to let you know what happened while we were gone.

The young lady who helped me said that the supervisor will be told about it. I am not sure where the packet went that was supposedly mailed to me, but she printed me one and handed it to me.

@GardenGerty I hate when they say they sent a packet for me to fill out, but I know good and well it wasn’t sent. Either that, or the post office has misplaced about ten packets in the years I’ve lived in Norman.
I hope you got an apology. Gas is expensive.

It is okay. It will now be scheduled nearby and we were out and away from our house when the tree in front split and fell. God was protecting us, I guess.

We have a severe storm warning in effect here until later tonight/early morning. Supposedly damaging winds could arrive, too. We shall see. It got dark here between 5 and 6 pm. We're just waiting to see if anything actually happens. (I did see and respond on your later post.)

I read about the damage to your property. I hate having a wasted trip like that. Why can't they communicate better?

I know how you feel since on occasion I do go to visit my cardiologist at the clinic when the receptionist tells me that they tried to contact me earlier that the appointment was cancelled due to the doctor having to deal with an emergency.

I do not really think I need a cardiologist, but this was to be for him to determine. It was good we were out of the house though. We had a storm blow through. Tore up a few things.

You should have been given the Marion option the first time you called. That's a shame. At least the next appointment will be closer. Enjoy your day.
