17 July - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today has been good. I got a late start, getting up at 4:25 instead of 2:30 or 3. I've been playing catch-up since. I'm thankful for the sleep I got. I had 8 hours last night. I don't get that much sleep at one time very often. I'm thankful for the exercise class this morning. While they worked out to the longer tape, I put nine miles on the bike. I'm thankful I helped my neighbor across the hall with his phone. He thanked me with a block of Swiss cheese. I wasn't expecting anything. I'm thankful I went shopping for something for potluck tonight. I wanted a fruit tray, but my berries are mushy from being in the freezer. I'll mash them up for strawberry shortcake later this week. I got a cookie platter with assorted bite-sized cookies. That should go over well. I'll take whatever is left over to Bible study tomorrow morning. I'm thankful a birthday present from a dear myLotter arrived today. She texted me just before it arrived. You can see it in the picture above. Okay, that's my day. No time to work on my book today. Though, I have two books I will be working on soon. One is a non-fiction devotional. I got the idea for it from Pastor's sermon yesterday. I need to do an outline for it, so I know how to proceed with it. The other is another historical novel taken from one of the stories in the Old Testament. The title for that one is The Dance.
