Just because I can’t eat doesn’t mean I can’t cook! I made a batch of infamous potato soup today, using a whopping three ingredients this time (potatoes, chicken stock, and broccoli). I left one bowl in the fridge and froze the rest. My brother asked what I wanted waiting for me when I got done with the colonoscopy tomorrow. Naturally, I said, “Chuy’s!” In truth, though, I’m going to take a chocolate fudge fiber brownie with me (to taste something that isn’t liquid). Before I started drinking the goop I went to Subway for a turkey sub, so I’ll have a good lunch tomorrow. Tonight’s Weather Brains was terrific, all about rip currents. They pointed out something very accurate: when you have people visiting the beach on vacation, they may have no clue about what a rip current is, or how dangerous it is. Also in the weather department, as I type the Reds game in Cincinnati is in a weather delay. We have no severe weather here in town, which is great for the concert. Beyoncé is doing an outdoor show at the football stadium. I couldn’t name you five Beyoncé songs if you spotted me four and made the fifth a multiple choice, but I certainly don’t want to have anyone’s evening ruined by a severe thunderstorm.
